Nepal is known as a peaceful land were all religious people stay together. God has blessed Nepal with good natural seen. The hills and the rivers tell us the beauty of God’s creation. She is proud because many people come to her land because of the world highest peek mount Everest and other snow mountains.
There are different races of people with different castes live in our country. There are Brahmans, Chhetries, Rai,Limbu, Magar, Thamang, Gurung. Tharu Etc. According to the available record, there are more than 80 different languages spoken in Nepal. The major languages that are spoken as mother tongue are Nepali, Maithili, Bhojpuri, Newari, Gurung, Thamang, Tharu etc.
Nepal is the only Hindu country in the world. But as you know Christians are growing much bigger and faster. The Holy Spirit is moving around this country changing people heart and tradition for the glory of God.
Nepal. The word Nepal means Though many people says different things about it .In the language of Lepchas “Ne” means ‘holy’ and ‘Pa’ means ‘cave’. It has been holy place-the center of pilgrimage of Hindus and Budhists, so it was called a holy cave or Nepal.
Now I agree with this definition because God created this land as a holy place for His glory but it has been used with wrong purpose. Now we should thank God. He is raising people with great vision to turn this country to His holy place. Devil gets the most praise and worship in this country than any other country but we pray and trust that it won’t be for much longer.
Did God forget Tharu tribe? Are they not His creation? NO! Christians in the USA are working with Babu and Sabriti bringing the love of Jesus Christ to them. You can helpWe are introducing a group (tribe) of people to you. Bhojpuri speaking people are also known as Tharus here in Birganj. Though tharu people have different cast among them but the speak the same language here. Bhojpuri language is the third most spoken language in Nepal.
This people are not reached with gospel. And just in the city where we live the population is more than one million. But the truth is that in this city we do not have 5 tharu believers. Praise God one carpenter who had been working for us to build the orphanage came to know Jesus. He is attending the church regularly. Rest the people who comes to our church are from other tribes.
Well should we stop preaching to this people because they are not turning to God? Or should we stop preaching because they are not educated. Recently Lesah Cantrell from USA wrote me about Noah ark and told me your case is same as you build your orphanage alone in the big city. Well that encouraged me so much. Noah preached 120 years but no one entered to the ark. He was faithful to obey God. Weather people turned to God or not.
Now we are praying to bring Tharu people to the kingdom of God.. Yes God has given the commission to each believer to preach the gospel to every creation. Are these people not His creation? Can we skip that great commission from this people? If we are not able to tell the good news to them, then what can we do for these Tharu people?
Where ever Jesus went in His public ministry He always moved with compassion. Now is the time for true Christians to show compassion to this poor uneducated tharu people. God has given vision to us and our small fellowship here in Birganj to reach these people with Gospel. And we are ready to obey His commission and go to these people. Can you stand with us to reach these people for the kingdom of God?
We have taken two men from Tharu tribe from Chitwan who has got some kind of bible training. They will be staying in different villages. Please join with us in prayer, with out prayer it is impossible to bring any change in this tribe.
We would appreciate your support for these evangelists who will be preaching and starting small fellowship in the villages. We are praying for 50$ to support them. With our small amount of help many people can hear the word of God and to know the living God. So we should count it as a privilege to support these families for the glory of God. Will you help us to reach these people? How? by your precious prayer, by going out to the villages and by your financial supports.
Let us be faithful like Noah who was so faithful to God. If God gave Noah a mortal ark He has given us a immortal ark which will never perish. Let us preach about that precious ark who is our Jesus Christ. Let us join with one anther to invite people to the eternal ark. If not we may see the end of these people like Noah’s time. Is there any one who would like to see these people perish with out the love of God? Are we like Noah or Jonah? Who run away from God and His commission? He didn’t like to see the people turned to God. What about us? Are you like Noah or Jonah?
