SOMETHING GOOD HAPPENS TO YOU WHEN YOU TRUST IN GOD
Our faith is measured by our confessions. When our verbal confession perfectly harmonizes with the confession of our hearts, and these two confessions confirm God's Word, then we receive from God that promise in our life.
ENJOYING OUR RIGHTS IN CHRIST
Redemption was God planned; its results satisfy the heart of God and meet every need of man. Abandon yourself to the Lordship of Jesus Christ, to the Word of God, and to the lead of the Holy Spirit. God's ability is our inheritance. Our roots sink down into God. He is the vine and we are the branches. When you have a need come boldly to the throne of grace.
Hebrews 4:16 Let us then fearlessly and confidently and boldly draw near to the throne of grace (the throne of God's unmerited favor to us sinners), that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find grace to help in good time for every need [appropriate help and well-timed help, coming just when we need it].
PRAYER OF PETITION
HEAVENLY GRANT
Be it known this day of ___________________________ We receive a heavenly
grant in the amount of $____________for ______________. and for these other needs____________________
Father, in the Name of Jesus, I come boldly to the Throne of Grace, and present Your Word.
According to John 16:23 Jesus said, “And when that time comes, you will ask nothing of Me [you will need to ask Me no questions]. I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, that My Father will grant you whatever you ask in My Name [as presenting all that I AM].” (amplified Bible)
Jesus, You said in Mark 11:24, “For this reason I am telling you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe (trust and be confident) that it is granted to you, and you will [get it]..”
Your Word states in Luke 6:38, Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full—pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back.”” In accordance with Your Word, I give, I sow seed, in order to see this Spiritual Law to work in my behalf.
According to Matthew 18:18: “Truly I tell you, whatever you forbid and declare to be improper and unlawful on earth must be what is already forbidden in heaven, and whatever you permit and declare proper and lawful on earth must be what is already permitted in heaven.” By the Word of God with faith in the power of Christ, I bind Satan and all his forces, and I render them helpless and unable to operate. They will not hinder my grant.
According to Hebrews 1:13, 14 Besides, to which of the angels has He ever said, Sit at My right hand [associated with Me in My royal dignity] till I make your enemies a stool for your feet? 14 Are not the angels all ministering spirits (servants) sent out in the service [of God for the assistance] of those who are to inherit salvation? I loose the ministering spirits, and I charge them to go forth and cause my grant to come into my hands.
Jesus, You said Ask, Seek, Knock in Matthew 7:7-10 "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened. 9"Which of you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? 11 If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!
Philippians 4:6-7 “Don't fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God's wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It's wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.”
Philippians 4:19 “And my God will liberally supply (fill to the full) your every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. [will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.]”
Philippians 4:13 “I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ's sufficiency].
Philippians 4"But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come" (John 16:13).
Jesus christ is
person-centered
Jesus Christ is person-centered. He cares about you! God is always in the midst of your life and you don’t have to worry about interrupting him—you can reach him at any time…with any need you have. He is at the point of your need.
There is no distance in faith, no distance in prayer.
Believing is knowing. Faith is knowing. Faith is not trying to make yourself believe…it is a knowing deep down inside that cannot be shaken. Faith is being able to say, I know that I know.
You can help bring healing to a loved one. Jesus doesn’t have to physically be there. You can pray where you are, Jesus can act upon the problem, and your loved ones can experience healing in their body—no matter the distance.
Jesus is concerned about your “bread” needs. He wants to give you your daily bread…to meet your needs—financial, physical, and spiritual—whatever that need may be.
Heaven and earth should touch each other in your life. God wants you to enjoy the riches of heaven now…he wants to give you bread—today...in the now of your need.
Seeding for your miracle is the most important thing you can do. When you have a need that is like a mountain before you, forget about the need and start giving. Start planting the seed. Then the seed of faith will release the power of God to move the mountain (need).
The seed you give will be multiplied back to you…again and again and again…bigger and bigger and bigger (mark 4:1-20). So expect your miracle.
The works of God are not over. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). If you will have faith as a seed and plant it, God will multiply it. God will be there to do a work in your life that will solve your problem! But again, you must expect it.
It is God’s plan and his provision through Jesus Christ that causes everything to work together for the good. Without Jesus who is anointed to meet all our needs we would be under the curse. And we have an adversary
1 Peter 5:7-9 stay alert! Be vigilant and cautious at all times; watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, [in fierce hunger], looking for someone to seize upon and devour.
James 4:6-8 so be subject to God. Resist the devil [stand firm against him], and he will flee from you.
Hebrews 4:16 Let us then fearlessly and confidently and boldly draw near to the throne of grace (the throne of God's unmerited favor to us), that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find grace to help in good time for every need [appropriate help and well-timed help, coming just when we need it].
The interposition of the lord Jesus Christ is essential to acceptable prayer. As prayer will not be truly prayer without the spirit of God, so it will not be prevailing prayer without the son of God. He, the great high priest, must go within the veil for us; through his crucified person the veil must be entirely taken away; for, until then, we are shut out from the living God. He, who imagines that his own natural desires, coming up before God, unsprinkled with the precious blood, will be an acceptable sacrifice before God, makes a mistake; he has not brought an offering that God can accept. Prayer becomes power before the most high when it is wrought in us by the spirit, presented for us by the Christ of God. Jesus is sovereignty manifesting itself, and resplendent in grace.
Luke 5:1-11 one day as Jesus was standing by the lake of Gennesaret, with the people crowding around him and listening to the word of God, he saw at the water's edge two boats, left there by the fishermen, who were washing their nets. He got into one of the boats, the one belonging to Simon, and asked him to put out a little from shore. Then he sat down and taught the people from the boat.
When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, "put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch”.
Simon answered, "Master, we've worked hard all night and haven't caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets."
When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to break. So they signaled their partners in the other boat to come and help them, and they came and filled both boats so full that they began to sink.
When Simon peter saw this, he fell at Jesus' knees and said, "Go away from me, lord; I am a sinful man!" for he and all his companions were astonished at the catch of fish they had taken, and so were James and John, the sons of Zebedee, Simon's partners.
Then Jesus said to Simon, "Don't be afraid; from now on you will catch men”. So they pulled their boats up on shore, left everything, and followed him.
This miracle is a real picture of our lives. Are you facing some kind of baffling, futile scenario? Maybe in your job, or marriage or a relationship? Is there a problem in your life that defies you at every turn and seemingly will not turn loose? Do you have a need that baffles you, that boggles your mind? Is there something that has held on so long until your past is more dominant than your present…and your past is having a negative effect upon your future? Then this miracle has a tremendous meaning for you.
These fishermen here in Luke 5 were washing and mending their nets. They were businessmen. They plied the sea with their ships, catching fish and selling them commercially as far away as Jerusalem. This was the way they made their living. So when they failed to catch fish, it would be like a businessman failing to make sales, or a farmer failing to have a harvest, or a father or mother failing with their family, or a marriage falling apart, or something not working in a person’s life. It meant futility and frustration. They were sitting there by their empty boats, having been out upon the sea, and failed completely. They may have been thinking, the sea apparently is not going to be productive during this season. It’s going to be a bad season. It’s going to be a bad time. The economy is going to break down. Inflation will take over. There will be problems upon problems and needs piled upon needs. Even our problems will have problems.
About this time something good happened! And I believe…
Something good is going to happen to you
I don’t think we are any different than the people were, back then. We have our problems too. I’ve never met anyone who didn’t have a problem. I have them and you have them. Life is a problem-solving process. So our only hope is to find a source….a source for our lives…a source for our supply. We are going to have to learn who our source is—God has his way of doing things, and we have to learn how to do things his way so that we will be in the process of problem-solving rather than in the process of problems riding us down all the time and keeping us beaten down.
This miracle of Jesus is a now miracle. At this deepest moment of discouragement in the lives of these commercial fishermen, Jesus Christ walks up. Now that says a lot. Jesus Christ is where the need is. The bible teaches us to look for him at the point of a need that we have or the problem that we are facing.
Christ came upon the scene by the Sea of Galilee to redirect peter’s thoughts and the thoughts of these fishermen from the past of futility and failure to the present of deliverance and success.
God wants you to be successful. God is not interested in anyone being a failure. The bible says in 3 John 2: "Dear friend, I hope all is well with you and that you are as healthy in body as you are strong in spirit."
This is God’s wish for you. We can also remember that we serve a God who has promised to fill every need we could ever have. Just how willing is he to do that? Romans 8:31-32 tells us that he would not spare his own son. God the father loved us enough to allow Jesus, his own son, to be crucified because of our need of forgiveness. We also read that he will freely give us all things that we truly need through Jesus Christ. In Matthew 6:8 Jesus said that our father knows what we need even before we ask him. We are supposed to ask him though because it is a covenant relationship. In Matthew 6:32-34, Jesus said that if we seek first his kingdom and righteousness, all these things would be added for us. Every day, you and I have the opportunity to live in the knowledge that he will supply every single need, so that we can live in joy, confidence, and eagerness to serve him. We need to recognize God as our source for all our needs.
God has a way of doing things. It is the miracle of seed-faith. If you make seed-faith a way of life you are going to get a lot more of your problems solved and get into a rhythm of success.
Phil. 4:13 I have strength for all things in Christ who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through him who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ's sufficiency].
In this scene in Luke 5, Jesus Christ walks up and he is followed by a tremendous crowd. They want to hear him preach. They want to receive his blessing. He stands there on the seashore ready to preach but he has no place to stand where he can be seen. He looks around and he sees some fishermen sitting there in the sand with their fishing nets in their hands. Obviously they have not become aware of Jesus. On the faces of the fishermen are the signs of the struggle of the previous night. They have been out on the water to catch fish which meant money for their families.
The fishermen always fish at night on the Sea of Galilee and never during the day because the waters are sparkling clear. The water is so clear the fish would see the net if it is thrown into the water during the day, so they have to fish in the dark with only the light of the moon so the fish cannot see the net. These men had been out there when all the signs were right. They had fished in the normal way. They had done everything in the way they were supposed to do them to get their lives together, to get their needs met. They had kept all the rules of the economy. They had done it right, according to man, and now they are sitting there with failure and futility.
I believe they felt lonely and deserted. This is a picture of us in our day. Life can be frustrating and baffling. Maybe in your business you have done everything right but still no success. But now we turn to Jesus.
Jesus was very concerned about the spiritual needs of that great audience and he wanted to preach to them, to offer them the good news of the gospel.
Jesus’ second concern is a concern for the secular, or material needs. Jesus saw those fishermen with their broken nets and empty boats, their discouraged hearts, their empty wallets, and the futility of a tomorrow. A serious material problem is facing them and Jesus Christ becomes deeply concerned about it.
Jesus Christ has a need for the great work of God to be done. He needed a pulpit. He knows the empty boat would be perfect, especially if it were pushed a little from the shore. Then he could stand in it and the people could gather around the edge of the sea and it would just be a beautiful preaching situation. Our lord needed their boat.
The fishermen needed a miracle. They needed a redirection of their thoughts. They needed to discover a source for their lives. They needed to know who is behind the natural laws. They also needed to know that there are higher laws—there are eternal laws through which they could get their needs met when everything else failed.
Jesus said to the fishermen, lend me your boat. Give me a seed to match your need. Jesus asks them to give out of their need. They are desperately in need and Jesus asks for they very instrument through which they make their living. When they loan their boat to Jesus it is empty, but when he returns it, it is full. When Jesus asks you for something he wants you to get into the attitude of loving and giving. He has a purpose in mind for you. He is concerned about and will meet your need. He asks for an empty boat with the very great purpose of using it for his own service and then returning it with overflowing success.
